Here’s a little more . . .

Chris Kittell was born in Berkshire, a small New England town pitted below the ski mountains in northern Vermont surrounded by wilderness and agriculture. Raised on a dairy farm, a shy child with an adventurous spirit and strangely creative mind. He went on to graduate from Mount Ida College in 2009 with Cum Laude honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design. He also studied at the American Intercontinental University in London, the UK where he garnered his first insights into the fashion world at a small boutique company called La Petite Salope. Upon returning to the states and completing his degree he went on to compete and win the “Mall as A Runway Exhibit / Competition 2009” at the Natick Collections Mall in Natick, Massachusetts.

Weeks after graduating Chris moved to New York City and has since worked with many brands; from the high-end contemporary runways like Jen Kao (a CFDA nominee), bridge brands like Draper James by Reese Witherspoon, Trade-Mark by Louisa & Alexandria Burch to diffusion lines for Sperry Top-Sider, Guess, Steve Madden, and Bebe to name a few.

Chris has remained deeply rooted in small start-up brands, strategically adapting his sensibilities to fit a range of aesthetics, while developing a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful infrastructure outside of compelling design. His practical and logical approach to design has carried him successfully through an ever-evolving industry. He remains inspired by life in general, the joys, the sorrows, art, culture, architecture, and nature. Bringing a modern sensibility to his designs that is both compelling and sophisticated to his overall aesthetic.
